Beacons have been used for centuries to help guide people, send messages and celebrate. You may have seen a new beacon in downtown Madison recently: the State Capitol dome.

This year, the dome was lit yellow to honor the late founder of Brat Fest, Tom Metcalfe, and to celebrate the 85 local charities that benefit from the event.

A press conference was held on the Capitol steps so the Brat Fest story could be shared. The goal is to raise awareness for Brat Fest, it’s rich history and the many charities that benefit from this iconic Madison event.

The dome’s awareness means that charities will benefit even more than ever before.

What do Jim Collins (Good to Great author), Tony Dungy (2007 Super Bowl Winner) and Blake Mycoskie (Founder and "Chief Shoe Giver" at Tom's Shoes) have in common? They will all be at the Willow Creek Leadership Summit. In fact, for two solid days, August 5th and 6th, you can spend time with the greatest leaders of our time. We will be there. Will you?
